Recipients of Shortland Chambers Scholarship to attend NZLS CLE Litigation Skills Programme announced

In 2019, Shortland Chambers announced a scholarship enabling a member of the Pacific Lawyers Association to attend the NZLS CLE Litigation Skills Programme.  (The scholarship covers the full course costs of the programme.)

The scholarship is aimed at Pacific lawyers looking to support and encourage the legal needs of their respective communities and to promote and support initiatives of relevance to Pacific ethnicities.

Due to Covid-19 the scholarship in 2020 was not awarded.  

Therefore for 2021, two scholarships were proposed, one for Auckland and one for Wellington.

The members are therefore delighted to announce that the recipients of the 2021 scholarships are:

• Wellington – Ms Kitty Opetaia

The members wish both recipients long and illustrious careers in the law.
