New member - Alex Nelder

Shortland Chambers is pleased to announce that Alex Nelder has joined as a member.

Alex has a broad commercial practice, with a focus on insolvency and restructuring litigation, fraud-related disputes and complex contractual claims.  He also has experience in tort claims, administrative law and judicial review, construction disputes, and company law and shareholder disputes.  He has dealt with complex, high-value disputes both in New Zealand and internationally.

Alex joins the bar from Gilbert Walker, where he was Special Counsel.  He previously spent nearly nine years as a lawyer in Russell McVeagh’s litigation team, before a move to London where he spent over five years as a senior associate at global disputes firm, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.
