The members are delighted to announce that junior barrister Pita Roycroft has been awarded a Borrin Foundation Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Postgraduate Scholarship.

Pita hopes to investigate whether and to what extent principles of indigenous or customary law (such as tikanga Māori) can influence the development of tort law in Aotearoa New Zealand and other Western states with indigenous populations.

Pita joined Chambers as a junior barrister in 2021, after having graduated from Victoria University with an LLB(Hons) / BA.  Pita will travel to the USA to undertake his LLM in July 2024.  We wish him all the best.
